On the eve of his return to Boston in Pale Hose,
Kevin Youkilis posted an open letter to Red Sox Nation on Sunday. In it, Youkilis stated that it was an honor and a privilege to play every home game at a sold-out Fenway Park. He also thanked the ownership and every coach from the Spinners to the Red Sox. He thanked fans for supporting his charities. Tellingly, he went out of his way to thank former manager Terry Francona—and never once mentioned Bobby Valentine. He ended by telling young kids to "always aim high"—like on a throw to first base. A class act.
