The U.S. Postal Service officially launched a Ted Williams stamp today in a ceremony at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Along with the stamp honoring "The Kid", there are also stamps for
Joe DiMaggio,
Larry Doby and
Willie Stargell. This great event is the culmination of years of effort on the part of many people—most particularly
Bruce Donahue of the BoSox Club (the official booster club of the Boston Red Sox). Congratulations to everyone involved!
