Sox Tried To Deal Crawford To Miami For Reyes

Crawford & Reyes Almost Changed Unis Again
If you had any doubt that John Henry's 'Carl Crawford Thing' had spread to the rest of upper management, the revelation that the NOG tried to deal Crawford to Miami should put those doubts to rest. According to multiple sources, Boston was negotiating a deal with the Marlins to ship the under-achieving left-fielder to South Beach in exchange for shortstop Jose Reyes. Apparently, the deal never moved much beyond initial discussions, but knowledge of these proceedings is bound to mess with Crawford's already fragile ego. There have got to be other alternatives to unload the worst free agent acquisition of the last decade! Isn't he from Houston, and isn't there a new, wealthy owner in Houston? Hmmmm.
