The Boston offense (two walks and a bloop single) propelled the
Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Texas Rangers Tuesday night. The real story was the continued effectiveness of Clay Buchholz—who went seven solid innings yielding just four hits.
Vicente Padilla continued his plunking ways by hitting former Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre in the head. All in all, an entertaining (albeit dull) night.
