Ex-Red Sox Had Differing Fortunes On Thursday

AP Photo
In the ongoing saga of erstwhile Red Sox, Thursday saw two quite different results. In Chicago, Kevin Youkilis notched his second consecutive game-winning RBI by clouting his sixth HR in a 2-1 Pale Hose win over Texas. By contrast, Jonathan Papelbon blew his second save of the year—imploding against the Mets in the ninth by allowing consecutive RBI hits with two outs. As the fortunes of the current Carmine Hose slowly set in the West (quite literally after the 2-5 Left Coast swing), we can at least follow the former Sox who still populate the major leagues. Stay tuned.
