Every Team To Play 20 Interleague Games In '13

Get Ready For Constant Interleague
With the juggernaut that is the 2012 Red Sox, you've probably forgotten that, next year, the idiocy of Interleague play will take place every day of the season. Each team is scheduled to play an estimated twenty Interleague games—twenty! For the Red Sox, that's five more of those monstrosities than this year—and now they'll be spread throughout the season. Details are starting to ooze out of MLB and the Players Union about the scheduling nightmare brought about by the move of the Houston Astros to the AL West—and the consequent unbalanced 15 and 15 league configurations. On top of everything, the only possible saving grace of Interleague play (traditional rivalry games) are being reduced. Constant Interleague play will cause the uniqueness to wear off really fast and further dilute the World Series match-up in October. Nice going, Bud!
