The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that the Braves are very close to a deal for a starting pitcher. Since Atlanta was earlier reported to be interested in Jon Lester, speculation is heating that the deal may be with the Red Sox. One has to wonder how devalued Lester's stock has become in the wake of the worst outing of his career just yesterday. Realistically, the deal will probably be for Zack Greinke or Ryan Dempster, but a blockbuster Boston transaction cannot be ruled out.
