With all the scuttlebutt about the Red Sox seeking more starters, will they be in on
recently released LHP Jeff Francis? The southpaw has performed well in the Reds minor league system (his last start was a complete game shutout of AAA Durham), and might be an interesting piece in the ever-evolving Red Sox rotation. As you might recall, Francis—a former #1 pick of the Rockies—served up the 2007 World Series lead-off HR to Dustin Pedroia at Fenway.
