Red Sox Face 'National Treasures' On Weekend

Believe it or not, the franchise that is the Washington Nationals/Montreal Expos have never won a single game at Fenway Park—never (0-9). That drought is in danger of ending this weekend as the first-place Nationals (32-23) breeze into Beantown for a three-game set. 'The Boys From the D.C. Navy Yard' will send Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, and Jordan Zimmermann at the
Carmine Hose—among the most effective starters in the National League this year. Gonzalez has struggled at Fenway in the past as a member of the Oakland A's, but the trade to D.C. seems to have given him new life. Strasburg (2.35 ERA), of course, has been All-World this year, and Zimmerman has been stellar as well (2.82 ERA). The Sox will send Felix Doubront against Strasburg tonight, followed by Dice-K on Saturday and Jon Lester on Sunday. This series may tell a lot about the fate of both teams.
