We still don't believe it will happen, but Dustin Pedroia says he feels good and is
estimating Tuesday for his return to the line-up. The serious risk here is that he returns and more seriously injures his thumb—leading to an even longer stint on the DL, possibly involving surgery. This team cannot afford to lose Pedroia for an extended period. It might be better to bite the bullet, go on the 15-day DL and be back at 100% for the balance of the year.
