Marlon Byrd Suspended 50 Games For PED Use

Former Red Sox centerfielder Marlon Byrd—acquired from the Cubs for Michael Bowden—was suspended 50 games by MLB for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.

Byrd was cut loose by the Red Sox in early June and is currently a free agent.
