Oil Can Boyd Calls Out Wade Boggs As Bigot

Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd, in an interview on WEEI radio to promote his new book (They Call Me Oil Can) called out  former team mate Wade Boggs as being a "bigot".  In a wide-ranging, sometimes incoherent and contradictory interview, The Can also claimed that his admitted drug use had little effect on his performance. Said Boyd:

"Sober, drunk, high, whatever you want to call it, nobody was a better athlete than me on the field. Nobody."

Uh-huh. Something tells me Game 3 of the 1986 World Series might have been different if he had held off on the nose candy. You gotta love the passion he brought to the game, but he could have been so much better.
