For those Red Sox fans looking for an investment opportunity in the middle of a recession, the team may have handed you one! If you were one of the lucky 30,000 or so who were given the rare privilege of getting a commemorative ball at the 700th consecutive sellout, your ship may have come in.

Now that the NOG (Pink Hat Translation: New Ownership Group) cannot continue the charade of "consecutive sellouts" much longer, the 800 barrier is unlikely to be breached (number 726 was on Sunday). So, the last ball given out (the 700 ball, see photo) is now worth its weight in sunflower seeds. So, don't despair! The Red Sox ownership is always looking out for you. Thanks, guys.
