As the great Yogi Berra might say, "It's Déjà vu all over again". Last June, Josh Beckett, suffering from "intestinal turmoil" had his scheduled start skipped on a road trip to Pittsburgh.
As reported here on FenwayNation, he was spotted that very day toting golf clubs into the team hotel in mid-morning of the afternoon start (see photo). Curious, we thought. Once the whole "BlackSeptember/BeerGate Scandal" hit, it kind of made sense. Now,
98.5 The SportsHub is reporting that Beckett—who had another start skipped due to shoulder and lat issues—was golfing in the Boston area last Thursday (two days before the scheduled start on Saturday). Amazing.
