The Fenway Park Home Opener is finally here, and the Carmine Hose have more questions now than they did on February 1st in Fort Myers. Will they break out of their 1-5 start and recover a three-month dominance as they did in 2011? Or will this "Bridge Year" see no such resurgence and just be six months' worth of Black Septembers?
It all starts today at 2PM—after the Boston Pops, after the flyover, after the introductions—when the harsh reality sets in. The Pink Hats and Fan Boys will be waving their Pom-Poms and guzzling their watered down beer two-at-a-time, but it's really up to Josh Beckett and the dormant offense to kick things into gear.
