Now sitting at 1-5, the Red Sox return to nearly 100-year old Fenway Park firmly ensconced in last place. The Carmine Hose wasted a decent eight-inning performance by Jon Lester, scoring only one time off Ricky "Caesar" Romero in a
3-1 loss at SkyDome (which we refuse to call the Rogers Centre). Lester gave up only three hits, struck out six, but could not keep the Jays from capitalizing in key situations. Jacoby Ellsbury knocked in the lone Red Sox run—which amazingly gave Boston an early lead.
The cushion was short lived, as Lester promptly gave up two runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Pink Hats and Pom-Pom Boys will undoubtedly be out in force on Opening Day Friday. All their faux enthusiasm cannot mask the utter ineptitude of the 'Bridge Year Three Red Sox'.
