The Red Sox had another ace out pitched on Wednesday, as they
fell again to the AL Champ Rangers, 6-3. Beckett, as Lester the night before, could not pitch successfully with a two-run lead, as the Rangers brought out their prodigious lumber once again. Beckett ended up with a decent line (7 innings, 3 earned runs), but it was not enough to counter the Texas attack. Kevin Youkilis got his first HR of the year to create the brief 2-0 lead for Boston.
