Bailey Back To Boston For Thumb Exam

Boston Herald Photo
New Red Sox closer Andrew Bailey is flying back to Boston to have his right thumb examined by the crack Boston medical team. The Red Sox are in DEFCON 1 mode, giving out almost no information on how Bailey injured his thumb, or why he's been virtually inactive since March 25th. If you want to talk Fenway Park Centennial, they've got lots of information—on the state of their closer, forget about it. Will Bailey be going to the disabled list? Sorry, no information. At least he'll be in the competent hands of doctors Howard, Fine & Howard.
