Acute Ap-PEN-Dicitis As Sox Get Swept

Don't even try to digest your Easter Ham. The Red Sox managed to blow two saves in one game, falling to the Tigers, 13-12 in 11 innings. Alfredo Aceves blew a three-run lead in the ninth, and Mark Melancon blew a two-run lead in the 11th, as the bullpen chaos deepens. We could talk about great work by Padilla (4 innings) and Morales (2 innings), and even Punto's clutch 3-hit lead-off performance—but it all comes down to the pathetic end of the 'pen. We need Daniel Bard as the closer now.
