Sox Take Commanding Mayor's Cup Lead

The Red Sox ventured to enemy Lee County territory and smote the Twinkies 10-2 last night. The Sox took early advantage of the ineffectiveness of Jason Marquis (the loser of clinching Game 4 in the 2004 World Series) to take a 4-0 lead.

David Ortiz muscled a long home run to right to extend the lead to 5-0, and the kids did the rest. Clay Buchholz pitched reasonably well (a little wild) in two hitless innings. Jose Iglesias got a bunt single and stole a base. All in all, a good night.
