Fenway Park Gets National Historic Status

Massachusetts Secretary of State Billy Galvin—having not had a liveshot in three whole hours—announced today that Fenway Park has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. John Henry could be seen smiling all the way from Liverpool. Apparently, cramped seating, bad sight lines and a century-old infrastructure did not prevent the "lyric little bandbox" from attaining national stature. Galvin did get at least one thing right in his statement: “...its appearance today is remarkably similar to that of decades ago." Indeed.
