According to the Globe's Peter Abraham, it appears that
injured left-fielder Carl Crawford will be out until sometime in May. This estimate is based on information from Bobby Valentine that Crawford (who will take 20 bunts today) will need upwards of 50 ABs before re-joining the new club. Since he's not even taking full BP at this point, he is a long way away from performing at Fenway.
Considering that he needed to get out of the gate quickly with good results, this information does not auger well for a resurgent comeback for the $142 million man.
