One thing we know for sure: our new closer is more politic than our old closer. In the wake of Jonathan Papelbon trashing the intellect of Red Sox fans (there's a 'pot calling the kettle black' metaphor here somewhere), Andrew Bailey, who grew up a Phillies fan, said:"The Red Sox have a very intelligent fan base...To say one fan base is better than the other, I've never really seen that. It's definitely welcoming to be here. This fan base has been awesome."
