The latest euphemism offered by the NOG for their lack of progress on starting pitching is lack of "traction". According to sources quoted by WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, that is how negotiations with Roy Oswalt are being characterized. So, does that mean "no traction" like when John Henry's Prius is stuck in a foot of snow and he can't get out, or is it "no traction" in the sense of "we're not anywhere close to Oswalt's demands"? Our guess is the latter. It's too bad The Mad Dentist (Charles Steinberg) is no longer around—they need his spin doctoring skills this year wicked bad.
