File this one under: Dubious Good News. Apparently, new Red Sox hurler Vicente Padilla is now expected to get to Spring Training on time. Padilla is under an arrest warrant in his native Nicaragua dealing with child support issues. Sox GM Ben Cherington thinks, despite the legal problems, Padilla will be able to bring his career 1.373 WHIP to us right on schedule. He's even being spoken of as the fifth starter. Can't wait to find out which of the games I attend this year will feature the 34-year old malcontent. Appointment viewing!
