No Longer 'Screwed', Pedey Is Confident
In a wide ranging interview from Arizona with WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, Dustin Pedroia appears locked and loaded for the 2012 campaign. With the screw removed from his injured foot, he is able to run and move without discomfort for the first time in a long while. He has put Black September behind him and feels that 2012 could be a monster year—for himself and the team. Never lacking in confidence (or trash talk), The Muddy Chicken is bounding about with his usual verve. Working out in a new facility built by best buddy (and, hopefully, someday Red Sox right-fielder Andre Ethier), Pedroia is chomping at the bit to get back to playing games that mean something. He's ready, we're ready.
