Beckett Speaks: Clubhouse Issues Private

Leave it to Kevin Millar to draw Josh Beckett (pictured here with a fan) out of his self-imposed off-season cocoon. The Red Sox ace spoke with Mr. "Got-Heem" on his MLB Network show, "Intentional Talk". Don't look for any chicken and beer confessions, though. In Josh's exact, Las Vegas-like words:

"...what goes on in the clubhouse should stay in the clubhouse."

Uh huh. OK, well, at least he agreed with Lester and Buchholz that the team simply stunk in September and a lot of that stinkage fell on the starters. Beckett also characterized his New Years' Day chat with Bobby Valentine as largely friendly and constructive—despite the confrontation over the manager's on-air comments about Beckett's slow approach on the mound. All in all, not that revealing or interesting an interview, frankly. Apparently, even Millar can't really crack the enigma that is Josh Beckett.
