Reports are surfacing that only two teams—the Orioles and Blue Jays—attended a batting session put on by Manny Ramirez in Miami recently. The avian interest comes as Manny is trying to break back into the bigs after twice testing positive for PEDs. While the Orioles have a big hole at DH, the handicap of losing the first 50 games to Manny's reduced suspension probably doesn't play well with Buck Showalter. New Baltimore President Dan Duquette, who signed Manny to the big contract with the Red Sox, might be more interested. Said Dan:
"Manny's an interesting guy. He's interesting to the fans. And he can hit. Or he could hit. I don't know if he still can. He wants another opportunity. He's trying hard to get one."
Those crowds at FenwaySouth would be all the more jacked up with ManRam in the opposing lineup.
