Malone garnered a total of 34.3% of the vote, clearly outpacing Comcast's Nicole Zaloumis who picked up 21.7%. Comcast's Mary Paoletti finished in third position with 16.8%, followed by Erin Hawksworth with 14.7% and Boston native (and Oriole/Raven reporter) Jennifer Royle with 12.6%. Malone got support from all over the country—as well as in such distant outposts as Maracaibo, Venezuela and Brisbane, Australia. Whoever the replacement is for Heidi Watney will face an uphill challenge. Watney was one of the most popular Boston female sports personalities ever.
