The Evil Ones, after shelling out a $2 million posting fee,
failed to reach an agreement with Japanese shortstop Hiroyuki Nakajima. The 29-year old will now return to the Seibu Lions (Dice-K's old team) for the 2012 season—where he is a .310 lifetime hitter in the Japan Pacific League. There is some speculation that the Bronx Embalmers may revisit Nakajima in 2013 or 2014—when their current shortstop may have even less range than he does now. For now, the Pinstriped Posers get their $2 million back—which might help the Steinbrenners with their IRS problems.
