Duquette May Be Targeting Johnny Damon

In his continuing quest to collect former Red Sox players on the Birds of Baltimore, Dan Duquette may now be interested in Johnny Damon. The 38-year old outfielder is within shouting distance of 3,000 hits and is looking to hook on with his seventh American League team. In four seasons with the Red Sox, Damon hit .295 with a .362 OBP. He hit 56 HRs with Boston and collected 299 RBI—along with stealing 98 bases. As all Sox fans should remember, he delivered some of the most lethal blows in the smiting of the Pinstriped Posers in 2004.
