In one night (aptly Friday The Thirteenth), Brian Cashman schooled Ben Cherington and the Red Sox. By acquiring both starters Michael Pineda and Hiroki Kuroda, they have simultaneously solidified their rotation and robbed the Red Sox of one of their prime pitching targets (Kuroda). We hate to admit it, but Cashman's precision air strike tonight makes BenCher and the NOG look like rank amateurs. The Red Sox had better put pressure on their good friend Bud Selig to bring a second Wild Card into play this year—their only hope for the post-season.
