Dan Wheeler, who hurled nearly 50 innings for the Red Sox last year, is drawing interest from the Minnesota Twins. The Warwick, Rhode Island native declined arbitration, but could still re-sign with the Carmine Hose. He was off-and-on effective for Boston in 2011. While he posted a 4.38 ERA, he had strikeout-to-walk ratio of nearly five-to-one. The Red Sox could do worse than to offer him a team-friendly one-year deal and solidify the bullpen even more than has already been done.
