According to multiple reports,
the Red Sox have signed 32-year old right-handed starter Aaron Cook to a minor league deal. Cook has a career ERA of 4.53, going 72-68 over ten seasons—all with the Rockies. You may remember him losing the final game of 2007 World Series to the Red Sox—giving up three earned runs in six innings of work. Cook will likely compete for one of the two open spots in the rotation—likely #5 with Bard as the #4.
