One of the more intriguing little tidbits in Bobby Valentines introductory news conference was his response to a question about potential coaches. When pressed about his long-term friendship with Bill Buckner, Valentine seemed to go out of his way to praise his roomie from the Dodgers—and clearly did not rule him out. Buckner is currently managing the Brockton Rox, but would likely leap back to The Show if his friend asked him to help out at Fenway. All in all, it would be a nice way to really welcome Bill back.
