In yet another brilliant off-season PR move, Red Sox management is apparently opposing the appointment of Bill Buckner as a coach. Despite the glowing praise heaped on Buckner by his long-time friend Bobby Valentine, and Buckner's desire to take the job, "somebody" in the Sox front office doesn't want this to happen. As you may recall, our recent FN Poll showed over 90% of our readers support the move. Maybe there's a more appropriate opening on the Liverpool coaching staff—or on the NASCAR pit crew.
