Nick Cafardo of the Globe is Tweeting that the Red Sox are still interested in former Phillies closer Ryan Madson, but will not give him the "crazy money" his crazy agent, Scott Boras is asking. Madson did well last year in his first stint as a closer, but the jury is still out on whether he can sustain that level of success. Good call not to overpay for this particular free agent. Some action, on the part of BenCher would be nice, though.

Red Sox Pursuing Ryan Madson Prudently
