UPDATE: Sox may also dangle OFs (Reddick/Kalish) For Bailey.According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Red Sox are still trying to swing a deal with the Oakland Athletics for closer Andrew Bailey. While Bailey would command less in prospects than Gio Gonzalez did, it would probably still mean parting with top organizational prospect Will Middlebrooks.
Since Boston still has 19-year old SS/3B phenom Xander Bogaerts (pictured) in the system, they might let Middlebrooks go.
