Call me a curmudgeon if you must, but I noticed something quite bizarre while perusing the site plans for the new JetBlue Park at Fenway South (do you think that's trade-marked yet?). Flanking the gorgeous new replica of Fenway Park are two—count' em two—sets of soccer fields (see picture). That's a grand total of six pitches—I think that's what they call them. We will refrain from any negative comments about the NOG's alleged preoccupation with a sport that isn't baseball. You can't make this stuff up.
