According to a 'Tweet' by Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, former Mets pitching coach Rick Peterson is being considered for that position with the Red Sox. Peterson served under Bobby Valentine, so this makes some sense. However, like Bobby V., Peterson has been a "polarizing" figure at times. His theories on pitching are highly creative, but have occasionally rubbed some people the wrong way. Of course, given the culture that festered here among some pitchers last year, who cares if he's polarizing?

Peterson Eyed As Red Sox Pitching Coach?
