With word that
Roy Oswalt is willing to accept a one-year deal, teams like the Red Sox are back in the picture. Oswalt would be a good fit as fifth starter in the Boston rotation. The 34-year old Oswalt started 23 games for Philadelphia last year—going 9-10 with a 3.69 ERA. He gave up 153 hits in 139 innings—not very good when you consider he also walked 33. But, given the alternatives, he might be the best option left for the procrastinating Red Sox.
