Occasionally, we like to think FenwayNation has some degree of influence over things dealing with the Olde Towne Team. The reality is, usually we don't. Back on Monday, November 21st, we suggested that the NOG delay payment of 2012 Season Tickets until after the holidays (their common practice is to exact payment before Xmas). As we said in our piece (Hey NOG, De-Grinch December!):"...save your 'kiss in the mail' until after New Year's Day. I think your cash flow will be just fine."
Well, what do you know! Season Ticket holders got the following message yesterday from the Red Sox:
"Please be aware that there has been a slight delay in distributing 2012 season ticket invoices. We expect to have them in the mail by late next week. As such, the deadline to qualify for the early pay discounted price has been extended through the New Year to January 3."
Could it be that our itty-bitty little website has some clout? Nah. In any event, kudos to the NOG.
