David Ortiz has accepted salary arbitration from the Red Sox and will stay in Carmine Hose—at least for another year. If the two sides can't agree on a two-year pact before February, salary arbitration will get the DH a one-year deal in the range of about $14 million. This is clearly the best solution—at least short-term—for everyone involved. Papi will be back to help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Fenway as one of the all-time team greats.
