Indeed. According to a TWEET from CBS's Jon Heyman, the Red Sox are still interested in signing the former Philly closer Ryan Madson. So, essentially, the two teams could "trade" closers, and Madson will probably get something close to what Papelbon landed financially. Of course, last year was Madson's first closing, whereas Papelbon is a proven veteran in the role. How stupid is that?
