With Lee Smith and Rick Aguilera reportedly unavailable, the Red Sox are scouring the dwindling closer market for
someone to finish games. As Yogi Berra once said, "It gets late early out there." Indeed. According to a TWEET from CBS's Jon Heyman,
the Red Sox are still interested in signing the former Philly closer Ryan Madson. So, essentially, the two teams could "trade" closers, and Madson will probably get something close to what Papelbon landed financially. Of course, last year was Madson's first closing, whereas Papelbon is a proven veteran in the role. How stupid is that?
