Andre Ethier Could Solve Right Field Issue

Andre Ethier had a bad 2011. He hit only 11 home runs, got hurt, had surgery and whined a lot. Not a good situation on a team that was about as dysfunctional as possible from top to bottom. But Ethier is, fundamentally, a very good player—and one who could help the Red Sox fill a huge hole in right field. He's still only 29 and has hit as many as 38 home runs in a season (2008). Even with his funky 2011, he's averaged 21 home runs over his six years in the bigs. And while another left-handed bat might be an issue (we already have four lefties in the lineup), it should not hinder a deal to bring him to Boston. Ethier is also best-buds with Dustin Pedroia (see pic), and could arguably re-charge his career in Fenway. He would certainly not be as much the focus of attention as he is now in LA (although Matt Kemp has now eclipsed him). We have spare outfield talent to send to Chavez Ravine. Let's go get Andre Ethier.
