With rumors that Theo Epstein has offered the Cubs' managerial job to Dale Sveum (which would prove us dead wrong), BenCher is announcing that—while the current applicants are fine—he's expanding the search. Ostensibly, it's because of the special "challenges" brought on by BlackSeptember. We're trying real hard to feel positive about what's going on this off-season, but, so far, there's a definite "Not Ready For Prime Time" feel coming from Yawkey Way. Hey, we hear "Walpole Joe" Morgan is available (pic).
