Luis
Tiant has another shot at a deserved spot in Cooperstown. El Tiante—along with seven other men—are on the inartfully-named "Golden Era Ballot". Hey, if it gets him in the Hall, I'm all for it. In
eight seasons with the Red Sox, he compiled a .602 winning percentage and a 3.36 ERA. But, I'm sure one of his big regrets was yielding an RBI groundout to the me—your humble scribe—at Red Sox Fantasy Camp in 1992 (see pic). Yeah, right.
Let's hope Luis gets to write "HOF" on all future autographs.
