Former Red Sox General Manager
Dan Duquette is said to be the favorite to become the new GM of the Baltimore Orioles. Duquette, who was ignominiously dispatched by the NOG in an excruciatingly uncomfortable new conference, will meet with owner Peter Angelos for a second time. The GM put together many of the building blocks that led to the 2004 championship. Perhaps his best moves were the Manny Ramirez signing and two trades—one for Pedro Martinez and another for
both Jason Varitek and Derek Lowe.
