It's official. A head has rolled.
In a series of pro forma, emotionless statements, it was revealed that Terry Jon Francona is moving on from Boston. With two World Championships in his hip pocket, Tito will likely land in the Windy City as skipper of those other Sox—in whose system he managed the likes of Michael Jordan. Tito will forever be an icon in Beantown, as the first manager in 86 years to deliver a ring—and in historic fashion at that. It's indeed ironic that his departure was caused by another historic mark—this one not so good.
Good luck, Tito.
